Check out Soderno @ Molito Alabang

To all you people living in the southern metro who love food tripping, check out Soderno @ Molito in Alabang, located along Madrigal Avenue across Alabang Town Center and near the Madrigal gate of Ayala Alabang Village. Below is the map to further help you. The location is marked with a red "X" mark (click photo to enlarge):

The place is very similar to Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City, where there are food booths that sell different sorts of food, from ihaw-ihaw (barbeque, isaw, corn, etc) to complete meals. There's a booth dedicated to sell drinks (bottled water, softdrinks, juices, etc).

A promising food to check out is the "bagwang" - from "bagnet" (Ilocano fried pork a la liempo) and "bawang" (garlic), which is bagnet cooked in garlic. This is served with rice (plain or fried) and egg, with spicy vinegar to dip the pork into. The pork is deep fried, which makes it very crispy and delicious. Here's a picture of the meal:

At Soderno, there are numerous tables and chairs for the customers to dine. In fact, there are 3 areas where you can dine - air-conditioned tent, non-airconditioned tent (where the booths are) and al fresco dining area. The entire place is not crowded (compared to Mercato) which makes the experience really hassle-free. Perhaps this is because southern metro is not over-populated compared to other areas.

There's also an acoustic band that plays every night to entertain the customers. Different bands play every night.

Soderno @ Molito Alabang is open on Fridays and Saturdays (6:00 pm to 3:00 am the next day) and on Sundays (6:00 am to 12:00 mn). For more details, visit Soderno's official website at http://www.soderno.com/
